The mops spin at high speeds and can apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, making short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a range of brushes and attachments and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like for each room.

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot mop and vacuum. Unlike last year's model, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. Like the other two Roborock models I've tested the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology that help it avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by having a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they are a wall or another surface. It then can automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed, but it's also the most loaded with features. Its sleek and angular design is eye-catching and it has just three physical buttons which include the power button which also resumes cleaning; a mop button that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank is automatically filled and the bin auto-refills.
The only downside I found to this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when required, but it's not easy to take the mount off to wash it manually. I've observed that any soft carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.

You can manage and set up these using the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings.
